Tournament Information

There will be six equal divisions of 20 players each, determined strictly by rating (max. 120 players). The entrant’s published rating as of May 18, 2006 will determine division placement (unrated players will be placed at Director’s discretion). Director retains the right to adjust divisions to maintain balanced divisions if fewer than 120 entrants. We anticipate the cutoffs between divisions to be around 1700, 1500, 1300, 1100, and 900 (but it depends on who signs up).

Entry Fees:Division 1: $80All other divisions: $65.

Registration, payment, and cancellation deadline: Noon Pacific Time, May 18th.
Payment or registration after April 30th will be assessed a $10 late fee.

Pairings will be one complete Round Robin, plus one King-of-the-Hill. If a division has fewer than 20 players, Director may add Swiss or KOH rounds.

Rated participants must be current members of the National SCRABBLE® Association to compete in this tournament. Non-rated players may delay joining the NSA until their second tournament. We strongly advise new players to play at a local SCRABBLE® Club before entering a tournament. All participants are expected to know and follow the Official Tournament Rules.Remember to bring your own board, racks, tiles & clock (score sheets will be provided).

The prize package will return 100% of entry fees, after actual expenses (last year we paid back 78%!).
