Fall Show 2016:

Crazy for You

A “new” Gershwin musical comedy, put together by Mike Ockrent and Susan Stroman (who sits on our Advisory Board). This very funny show has lots of gorgeous Gershwin music and lots of dance and wonderful characters. With songs like “I Got Rhythm”, “Embraceable You”, “Someone to Watch Over Me”, and “They Can’t Take That Away From Me” this is a score that is emotional and lyrical and wonderful to sing. Join us for this exquisite American Songbook musical!

Actor Attitude/Work ethic

We want everyone to love this experience, and we anticipate that all actors will arrive on time and be prepared for rehearsal.Roustabout’s staff will work to make the process fulfilling and the goals meaningful and fun.

Actors agree to achieve the goals outlined by staff for music and script memorization, proficiency in dance work, blocking memorization, etc. by the dates set. Actors also agree to be attentive and helpful during all rehearsals and dedicated to making this the best show possible.

Roustabout reserves the right to dismiss any student who consistently arrives late, is consistently unprepared or intentionally disrupts rehearsal. No refund is given if the actor is dismissed from the cast for these reasons.

Cleanup and Set Breakdown

At the end of each rehearsal, all actors will be given time to help return the room to its original condition.

After the last show, all actors help with final strike which typically lasts until about 4 hours after curtain drops. The strike is extremely well organized: we will not waste anyone’s time! The cast will be dismissed only when the entire breakdown is complete.

We’re looking forward to working with you!
