Vietnam Veterans of America, Monroe Chapter 142 invites you to become a supporter of our WALK OF FREEDOM project by leaving a lasting imprint when you purchase a personalized brick for our sidewalk.
Monroe County Vietnam Veterans Memorial at Heck Park, Monroe, Michigan was dedicated May 17, 1987. This memorial contains the names of over 1000 Monroe County Vietnam Veterans who survived the war, as well as 56 county veterans who gave their lives in this conflict. On May 18, 1991, a UH-1M "Huey" helicopter that had served three tours of duty in Vietnam was added to the display.
Monroe Chapter 142 has added a sidewalk between these two special monuments - A sidewalk as special as the memorials. Your brick will be forever visible and will represent a permanent mark of your contribution your loyal support of Vietnam Veterans.
Two brick sizes are available: 4" x 8" for $100, and 12" x 12" for $250. (All donations are 100% tax deductible). The 4" x 8" brick can have a maximum inscription size of two lines, 12 letters/spaces long. The 12" x 12" can have a maximum inscription size of 5 lines, 12 letters/spaces long. (each space counts as 1 letter).
