Dear Parents/Guardians:

The Lagos Turkey Trot is almost here. The Turkey Trot is the culminating event to our jogging and cross country units in physical education. The Turkey Trot will be held on Wednesday, November 22nd. The Turkey Trot will take place around Lagos school and parking lots. Students may walk or jog the course. Parents/guardians are welcome to join students as they participate in this event. Siblings are not allowed. There will be a sign-in table for all parents that are attending the trot. The sign-in table will be located at the north gate of our school by the basketball courts. Parents that are coming to the trot should enter the campus at that location. Please remember to bring a picture ID with you as it will be required to enter the campus.

We invite you to come out and jog, walk, or cheer your child on! Please check the schedule below for the time of each grade level’s Turkey Trot. The schedule is as follows:

Running Times

7:50 – 8:15 5th Grade

8:25 – 8:50 Kinder and Pre K

9:00 – 9:25 1st Grade

9:35 – 10:00 3rd Grade and 4th Grade

10:25 - 10:50 2nd Grade

Students will be trying to stay active for a set distance. The distance this year is a bit longer than last year and will be just as fun for the students. The Turkey Trot times listed above will include a brief warm-up, underneath the canopy on the intermediate basketball courts, and a water station when finished with some snacks. We are in need of parent volunteers to help at the water station and surrounding spots of the school. With enough volunteers, we will be able to arrange it so you can participate with your child’s class so please sign up on the link.

General Reminders!

  • Please sign in at the basketball courts to wear your visitor’s pass. All visitors must be signed in and identified while on campus.
