How religious was your parents’ home? How were you raised?

My father was not religious at all. He almost never went to the synagogue, not even for the high holidays. We used to celebrate Purim, Rosh Hashanah and Pesach at home. My mother, on the other hand, was more religious due to the influence of my grandfather, Moise Venezia. My grandfather used to go to the local synagogue every Friday evening and Saturday morning and he would take me and my brother with him. However, neither I, nor my brother had a bar mitzvah. I would not eat pork, but we did not separate the porcelain.
