Reporting to / Digital Manager / Salary £25-30k depending on experience
Purpose of the role / This role will support the Digital Manager to deliver SEO and content improvements to our digital properties and support data-driven decision making within our integrated marketing and communications function and beyond.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyse content performance to identify opportunities to improve online user experience and conversions using Google Analytics(GA) and other relevant tools
- Work with Digital Manager and retained SEO agency to plan, commission, benchmark and optimise digital content using an on-going test and learn approach
- Support our Marketing function and external creative and media buying agencies to deliver, monitor and optimise their campaign activities
- Responsible for creating monthly reporting dashboards to monitor our website performance targets, primarily using Google Analytics.
- Be the ‘go-to’ person for the uploading content and maintenance of using the organisation’s CMS (Umbraco)
- Assist Digital Manager to ensure the charity’s website is regularly audited and medically best evidenced at all times
- Keep abreast of digital trends to spot fresh opportunities and advise the wider team.
- A love for digital with a genuine interest in emerging trends and a willingness to turn your hand to a variety of tasks
- Pro-active, willing to contribute ideas and confident working as part of a small team
- Meticulously organised, with strong attention to detail and adherence to deadlines
- Excellent communicator with good written and spoken English who can produce briefs and assess content is accurate and on brand
- Confident user of MS Excel, with a keen interest in using and analysing available data
- Effective at maintaining and fostering effective relationships with internal clients, stakeholders and agency providers
- Creative and solution focused
- Driven to achieve high quality results
- Digital qualification or equivalent experience
- Excellent knowledge of GA and Google Tag Manager (GTM). Other analytics tools would be advantageous
- Demonstrable evidence of a methodical approach to optimisation and evaluation – e.g. setting clear objectives and measuring success.
Essential:
- Strong experience in analytics and optimisation
- Experience working with large content sites and be familiar with content management systems
- Experience and being comfortable working closely with SEO and technical experts, developers and designers to ensure we achieve a first-class online user experience across our channels.
- Previous experience of digital transformation within a third-sector organisation would be an advantage.
