Archives Committee / Care, cataloging, and filing of documents, photos & artifacts; make recommendations regardingthe collections / Saturday mornings 8-10 am
Building & Restoration / Provide labor to help with building restoration projects and simple maintenance, i.e. upkeep, repair, painting, demolition, carpentry / Flexible schedule; on call, as needed
Decorating Committee / Decorate inside and outside Homestead for special events/seasons / As needed
Docent / Interact with visitors, conduct guided tours, discuss exhibits / Set or flexible schedule;Sun and/or Tuesday, May through November
Exhibit/Education Committee / Work with a group to develop new educational exhibits or redesign existing exhibits. No experience needed, just an interest in education and/or a creative spirit. / Flexible schedule; as needed
Furnishings / Help furnish and interpret rooms in the house. Review donated items for acceptance into collection. / Flexible schedule
Gardens & Grounds / Help with seasonal plantings, i.e. weed, thin, replant & water flower gardens; care for outdoor potted plants / Flexible schedule
Membership Committee / Staff membership table at events; recruit new members; keep membership records; correspond w/members as needed / Flexible schedule; as needed
Office Aid / Assist in the office during open hours. Help with special projects, mailings, telephone calls, filing, and/or data input. / Tuesdays or Sundays during the season. Otherwise, as needed.
