Brandenburg Police to handle planning with P&I software
In the future, the Brandenburg State Police will plan the deployment and shifts of its employees with the aid of the P&I PLUS solution from the Wiesbaden based company P&I AG. The utilisation of planning software became necessary as a result of a resolution by the state government in Potsdam, according to which the Brandenburg Police will be introducing flexible work time models.
The objective of introducing more flexible work times is to make the deployment of the public servants more efficient and more cost effective. At the same time, the individual needs of the employees are to be taken account to a greater extent in the future.
P&I PLUS is a comprehensive, web-based software programme for human resource management that most of the departments of the State of Brandenburg have already been using for its personnel administration for years. The Brandenburg Police will now be expanding that software for its services to include the Time Management module. According to the supplier, the crucial factor for this decision was the good price-performance ratio of the software, the positive experience that the State Police of Lower Saxony has gathered with this system and the interface-free integration of this process into the existing personnel administration software.
The corresponding contracts were already signed officially on May 30th of this year. After the ongoing trial phase, the full-coverage rollout for all police stations will commence in the first half of the year 2008.
