Relevancy of Work to this Task Order:
PWS – C.6.14
AIRTEC provides Information Assurance, Engineering/Integration and Program Support for Chemical, Biological and Radiological Defense (CBR-D) NSWC-DD CBR Defense Division. This CBR Detection Engineering Development Support includes analytical, programmatic and administrative support to CBR-Detector Programs. Due to the sensitive nature of the information and the level of urgency for the Government’s requirements, AIRTEC maintains continuous 24 hour 7 day a week reliable voice and e-mail communications with Government personnel during performance of this task. AIRTEC supports the Navy at NSWCDD CBR-Defense Division meetings, seminars and conferences and participate in initiatives to plan and implement new CBR detection acquisition, in-service programs and initiatives, sustainment and modernization. AIRTEC performs physical and functional configuration audits on the systems and individual sensors or equipment when required to ensure product or systems conformity.
PWS – C.6.2
AIRTEC has capability in advanced logistics concepts and life cycle logistics support. We have core technical expertise in logistics support technology and developing and maintaining ILS products for all airborne platform equipment and systems for the Fleet. Our support services include concept development, R&D, T&E, Modeling & Simulation, cost and benefit analysis, designs & specifications hardware, technology transition, and management support. We specifically demonstrate this capability in our NAS Patuxent River and Wallops Range contracts.
Our specific areas of expertise include Life Cycle Engineering, Logistics Technical Documentation, Logistics Information Technology, Condition-Based Maintenance (includes aviation, Logistics Systems Analyses & Modeling, RDT&E, Fleet Support, and In-Service Engineering for Fleet Logistics Systems (including ordnance, material, boat and vehicle handling systems, and airborne platforms), and ensuring mission sustainability where and when needed. AIRTEC support includes examining development and application of technologies pertinent to transportation and transfer of personnel and material; maintenance, diagnostics, and repair of surface and subsurface vessels and marine vehicle systems; development and maintenance of logistics technical documentation for systems; digital Logistics data environments, and Integrated Logistics Support planning, management and implementation.
PWC – C.6.11
In addition, AIRTEC performs specialized airborne surveillance, telemetry, test and evaluation, and range calibration services using fixed wing and rotary wing aircraft. AIRTEC furnishes airborne testing and surveillance services to both commercial and government customers. AIRTEC owns and operates its own fleet of aircraft; and employs engineers, mechanics, and pilots to perform all services. AIRTEC provides both recurring and unique, one-of-a-kind testing services. The recurring airborne services are “pre-set” testing routines, techniques, processes, and methods to perform the required test or surveillance. Customers design the non-standard tests jointly with AIRTEC who performs the work to suit specific customer needs. AIRTEC furnishes ancillary professional technical services such as planning, logistics, flight preparation, aeronautical engineering, engineering design, and other similar but related services.
PWS – C.6.4
AIRTEC has designed, developed, integrated, tested, and implemented several technologies into airborne platforms for the following missions: maritime radar surveillance, visual surveillance, maritime target identification and interdiction, small target (Fast Boat) detection testing and evaluation, airborne telemetry services, airborne sensor calibration and testing, and airborne data collection and analysis. Development includes the integration and implementation of the following sensors and avionics: APS-143 b(v)3 surveillance radar, APS-128D surveillance radar, RDR-1400C surveillance radar, RDR-1700B surveillance radar, Automatic Identification System (AIS), various EO/IR systems, Iridium based satellite data link, VHF/UHF direction finding, Wideband COMINT equipment, Inertial Navigation Equipment, and various mapping software to include Falconview, Nobeltec, Jeppesen, and Sea Clear. Telemetry System experience includes the integration, testing, and implementation of the following systems: L and S band airborne auto-tracking, recording and re-transmission systems, UHF airborne target flight control and flight termination systems, and various range data collection and data link systems.
PWS – C.6.13
AIRTEC has developed, tested and integrated new technologies including the aforementioned surveillance radars and sensors into an economic, versatile, and highly effective airborne platform that exceeds the needs of our mission objectives by fusing robust commercial (COTS) communication and surveillance systems with safe, reliable airborne platforms. An example of such integration is represented by our real-time satellite data link of AIS, radar, video data, and voice communication currently employed in-flight, in concert with a mobile ground station utilizing commercial hardware only.
All mission equipment is installed in-house using the appropriate tools and resources with minimal external or government furnished support. All sensors and equipment are installed on approved racks, brackets and mounts with approved hardware on-site, to include the integration of EO/IR systems, radar, inertial navigation, and other supporting aircraft sub-systems.
United States Coast Guard (USCG) in-flight radar testing has been conducted to compare all current inventoried radars’ performance against targets of minimal radar cross section (go fast boat). Testing of four different radar systems installed on five different fixed and rotary-wing aircraft in the USCG fleet identified and quantified the superior performance of the AIRTEC, Inc. integrated airborne radar system (July 2006).
PWS – C.6.3
