Next Steps:
- Push city to create/approve Watershed Plan which will require DEQ approval to gain access to funding. City in process of writing Watershed Plan.

- Not certain yet. I will need to read through DEQ materials to understand how & when to pull others into process. Everyone may need to get involved in pushing city on Watershed Plan

- Purchase seeds, fertilizer and lawn & garden equipment at lower costs through state contracts with MI Deal. City of Lansing buys and passes through to the non-profit.

Project Idea:
- Clean Sweep program. Annual/Semi-annual? Coordinated location for drop off of unwanted chemicals, pesticides, other toxic substances.
- Could include tires, scrap metal, wood, useable clothing/furniture, and general recycling items.
- Also, pick up service – volunteers (trained) visit seniors at their homes to review & collect these items (especially chemicals/toxics) to dispose of. This way, seniors won’t have to deal with, handle, transport, etc. Could have huge impact environmentally and be catalyst for entire city.
