  1. The Plan Of Redemption –

Healing is part of God’s plan of redemption.

Isaiah 53:1-12

v.1 The arm of the Lord = the power of God

It’s to the one that believes the report (the gospel / the good news)

v.2 he = Jesus

Jesus didn’t come in splendor and glory. He came and lived simply. You could have met Jesus and not had any idea who He was.

v.4 Grief is also translated sickness and disease. Sorrow is also translated pain.

Jesus died a criminal’s death. To die on the cross is like being killed in a gas chamber or electric chair today.

v.5 He wasn’t there for his own sins.

Isaiah 52:14 “His visage was so marred…” This doesn’t JUST refer to the physical , because not a bone of His was broken. He bore ALL of our SINS and SICKNESSES. The Lord, not just the Roman soldiers, smote Him and beat Him. In the natural you would’ve seen Roman soldiers beating Him. What you couldn’t see is that spiritually He was smitten by God. God saw past this and saw His Son rise triumphantly – so it pleased Him to bruise Jesus.

Proverbs 10:13; 19:29; 20:30; 26:2-3 These instruments are for fools; for those who don’t obey or heed instruction. Jesus was beaten for US. He didn’t deserve it. He took what we deserved so we wouldn’t have to. Sickness and disease are spiritual beatings.

Jesus was never sick, but He was struck with all sin and sickness. Because He bore all of it, we are healed by His stripes.

Acts 22:24-29

Jesus didn’t open His mouth while he was being beaten. He didn’t open His mouth – for us. He knew He could’ve called out and would have been delivered immediately. He didn’t open His mouth so we could open ours.

When the devil tries to tie you to the past and whip you with sickness and disease; stand up for your rights. Jesus bore those – you’re a free citizen.
