Donelson Baseball League Tournament: Donelson Baseball will have a end of season tournament for the Pee Wee, Pony, American, National, and Babe Ruth League. Teams will be seeded by the final standings for each league. For seeding puposes, tie breakers will be determined by head to head competition, if needed the next tie breaker would be determined by a coin flip. This tournament will only include teams from our “drafted leagues”.

Sportsmanship Awards: Each Manager will also nominate a Sportsmanship winner from each team that represents the spirit of Donelson Baseball. This player will be given an award following their elimination game in the Donelson Baseball League Tournament.

NOTE 1: IF APLAYER QUITS THEIR REGULAR SEASON TEAM DURING THE YEAR OR IS REMOVED FROM THEIR REGULAR SEASON TEAM DUE TO DISCIPLINARY REASONS BY THE ETHICS COMMITTEE, THAT PLAYER WILL NOT BE ELIGIBLE FOR A TRAVEL ALL-STAR TEAM.

NOTE 2: ANY PLAYER SELECTED AS A TRAVEL ALL STAR MUST COMPLY WITH THE ALL STAR COMMITMENT LETTER. ANY PLAYER THAT DOES NOT COMPLY BY THE COMMITMENT DATE WILL BE IMMEDIATELY REPLACED WITH ANOTHER SELECTION.

NOTE 3: DONELSON BASEBALL DOES NOT SUSBSIDIZE POST SEASON ALL STAR PLAY. EACH TEAM AND PLAYER WILL BE FINANCIALLY SELF SUFFICIENT.

PEE WEE LEAGUE:The Pee Wee League will have one 6U Travel All Star team. The manager may choose any player from the Pee Wee League. Each team will be composed of a minimum of 12 and a maximum of 14 players (manager’s discretion). The All Star Team Manager will select players for the team. Managers should note that all rostered players must participate in each game per Cal Ripken rules. The Donelson Baseball League Regular Season Champion has the option to coach the team. If that manager chooses not to take the team, the runner-up may coach the team. If the team still does not have a manager, the board of directors will pick the manager.

PONY LEAGUE: The Pony League will have one 7U and one 8U Travel All Star team. Managers may only choose players 7 years old for the 7U team and 8 years old for the 8U team. (exception: one player may play up if the player has a brother selected or the player’s father is the MANAGER of the team) Each team will be composed of a minimum of 12 and a maximum of 14 players (manager’s discretion). The All Star Team Manager will select players for that team. Managers should note that all rostered players must participate in each game per Cal Ripken rules. If a teamstill does not have a manager, the board of directors will pick the manager.

BABE RUTH League: The Babe Ruth League will have one 15U Travel All Star team. The team will be composed of a minimum of 12 and a maximum of 14 players (manager’s discretion). Managers should note that all rostered players must participate in each game per Babe Ruth rules. The Donelson Baseball League Tournament Champion has the option to coach either team and the runner-up may coach the remaining team. If a team still does not have a coach, the board of directors will pick the coach.

OPEN LEAGUE: The team with the best league record for each age division (7u,8u,9u,10u,11u,12u,15u) will be allowed to represent Donelson Baseball league in Cal Ripken post season tournaments. In case of a tie the first tie breaker will be determined by head to head competition, if needed the next tie breaker would be determined by a coin toss.If a team does not choose to play in the Cal Ripken Tournaments then the oppurtunity will be offered to the next best team using the same format. Teams may add or remove players for tournament play. All players must be rostered players from the Donelson Baseball Open League. All Managers should note that all rostered players must participate in each game per Babe Ruth rules.
