The Mystery of the Holy Trinity
The mystery of the Holy Trinity is the central mystery of the Christian faith and life. God reveals himself as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. The doctrine of the Trinity includes three truths of faith.
First, the Trinity is One. We do not speak of three gods but of one God. Each of the Persons is fully God. They are a unity of Persons in one divine nature.
Second, the Divine Persons are distinct from each other. Father, Son, and Spirit are not three appearances or modes of God, but three identifiable persons, each fully God in a way distinct from the others.
Third, the Divine Persons are in relation to each other. The distinction of each is understood only in reference to the others. The Father cannot be the Father without the Son, nor can the Son be the Son without the Father. The Holy Spirit is related to the Father and the Son who both send him forth.
All Christians are baptized in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. The Trinity illumines all the other mysteries of faith.

We pray, Father, that your Church would never lack shepherds. Remember the poor, abandoned, and needy. Raise up men of love and zeal to preach the Gospel too all those who are in need of the hope of salvation. Eugene de Mazenod understood your love for all your children and was generous in their service. May there be many who would share his vision and give themselves selflessly as Oblates of Mary Immaculate. We ask this through Christ, our Lord. Amen.

Help Needed!Our Outreach Center needs volunteers to help in the distribution of our Mobile Food Pantry. We are asking if you are available to sort/pack and distribute food. (requires to be standing and lifting bags and boxes). Dates of Distribution are the second and 4th Friday of the Month from 8:00am to 11:00am. Priestly Ordination
Please join us in wishing our Pastor Fr. Juan Ayala a blessed 9th Anniversary of his Priestly Ordination (May 26, 2007). May God continue blessing him and all those who answer God’s call.
GENERAL FIESTA MEETING
There will be a General Fiesta meeting on Tuesday, May 24th at 6:00 pm in the Parish Hall. All booth chairmen, workers and interested parties are asked to attend.
VIRTUS
Child Safety Training
A VIRTUS, Safety of Children training session will take place on Thursday, May 26th, from 6:00 - 9:00PM in the parish hall. All parish ministers and groups members whose activity brings them into contact with children and teens, and all school volunteers must be VIRTUS trained. All other parishioners are cordially invited to participate. You will find the session interesting and informative. The training is offered in both English and Spanish. No children please! Please register by calling the rectory at (818) 365-3967.
BLESSED SACRAMENT ADORATION
Jesus is waiting for you this Friday, May 27th from 7:00 p.m. – 12:00 a.m. inside the Church. Come and spend 30 minutes or 1 hour with Jesus!
Month of Mary
The month of May and October are dedicated to our Blessed Mother, the Virgin Mary. It is an invitation during these months to take time to pray the rosary everyday with our family and meditate on how she teaches us to be a true disciple of her son, Jesus. We invite all our children to bring flowers to our Blessed Mother during the month of May.

We are looking for gardeners that could volunteer their time for evening clean-up on Fiesta Weekend. Friday at 12:30 a.m., Saturday at 12:30 a.m. and Monday afternoon. Please call the rectory and leave your name and phone number.

El Misterio de la Santísima Trinidad
El misterio de la Santísima Trinidad es el misterio central de la fe y vida cristianas. Dios se revela a sí mismo como Padre, Hijo y Espíritu Santo. La doctrina de la Trinidad incluye tres verdades de fe.
Primero, la Trinidad es Una. No hablamos de tres dioses sino de un solo Dios. Cada una de las Personas es completamente Dios. Son una unidad de Personas en una naturaleza divina.
Segundo, las Personas Divinas son distintas una de la otra. Padre, Hijo y Espíritu Santo no son tres apariencias o modos de Dios, sino tres personas identificables, cada una totalmente Dios de una manera distinta de las otras.
Tercero, las Personas Divinas están en relación una con las otras. La distinción de cada una sólo se entiende en referencia a las otras. El Padre no puede ser Padre sin el Hijo, ni tampoco puede el Hijo ser Hijo sin el Padre. El Espíritu Santo está relacionado con el Padre y el Hijo, son ambos quienes lo envían.
Todos los cristianos son bautizados en el nombre del Padre, y del Hijo, y del Espíritu Santo. La Santísima Trinidad ilumina todos los otros misterios de fe.

Oremos, Padre, que tu Iglesia nunca carezca pastores. Recordemos a los pobres, abandonados y más necesitados. Anima a los hombres de amor y entusiasmo para que también anuncien el Evangelio a todos aquellos que tienen necesidad de la esperanza de la salvación. Eugenio de Mazenod entendió tu amor por todos tus hijos y fue generoso en su servicio. Que haya varios que compartan su visión y que se entreguen desinteresadamente como Oblatos de María Inmaculada. Te lo pedimos por Cristo, nuestro Señor. Amén.

SESION DE ENTRENAMIENTO
DE VIRTUS
Una sesión de entrenamiento VIRTUS para adultos, referente a la prevención de abuso infantil y el mantenimiento de un ambiente seguro para los niños y jóvenes, se llevará a cabo en el Salón Parroquial, el jueves 26 de mayo de 6:00 PM – 9:00 PM. Los meses de mayo y octubre son dedicados a Nuestra Madre Santísima, la Virgen María. Es una invitación durante estos meses para tomar el tiempo y rezar el rosario cada día con nuestras familias y meditar en como ella nos enseña a ser un verdadero discípulo de su hijo, Jesús. Invitamos a todos los niños de traer flores a nuestra Madre María en este mes de Mayo.
