Avon Middle School North Science Club

Dear Students and Parents,
The Science Club is an extra-curricular activity for students who express an interest in the sciences. As an after school activity, students will have an opportunity to participate in more detailed laboratory experiments and science projects.
Science Club will meet USUALLY the first and third Mondays (special consideration for Mrs. Koontz’s volleyball schedule and school breaks) of each month after school until 3:45pm in science lab B113. The first meeting will be held on Monday, October 7th to accommodate. Hopefully this will not cause any confusion! A lab fee of $20 will be requested from each student. Science Club membership is on a first come first served basis, with enough spots to fill one science lab class. Classroom behavior and the ability to commit to being at all or most of the meetings may also be a consideration.
Communication with parents occurs quickest via e-mail, so please include your e-mail address below, along with a phone number. Also, feel free to check the Science Club website for announcements and other information. Students are expected to be picked up promptly after the meetings at 3:45pm at door 29 on the West side of the building; failure to comply could result in removal from the Science Club. Attendance will be taken each week, but we cannot ensure that students attend once they have joined the club.
Please return the attached permission slip to Mrs. Koontz or the main office in order to express your interest in Science Club.
