Charles B. “Charlie” Norrisis an associate of Transformation Systems (TSL) and is a name partner of the law firm, Fiden & Norris, LLP, with offices in New York City and White Plains, New York. Professionally, he has been practicing law for 27 years and specializes in trial work and appeals. He has also served for six years on the Board of Education of the White Plains City School District (a small city school district that services a diverse student body of more than 7,000), the last two years as Vice President. This followed years of community service in the schools, including PTA president in both an elementary school (where he formed a fathers’ group) and a high school (the first male president), as well as participating in a strategic planning process facilitated by TSL. Charlie holds an undergraduate degree in psychology from Stony Brook University, and graduated, cum laude, from New York Law School.

Charlie’s passion is community service. He currently sits on the boards of three not-for-profit charitable organizations, which provide a wide range of services, including immediate short-term financial help for families in need, financial support for individuals undergoing double lung and other lifesaving transplant operations, and counseling for individuals who are victims of sexual and other violent crimes. He also makes presentations to incarcerated violent felons, and raises money for charities running marathons. More recently, Charlie was nominated to join the Rotary Club in his community. Charlie specializes in board development, board relations, and board-superintendent relations.

Claudia St. Johnis an associate of Transformation Systems (TSL) and President of Affinity HR Group, LLC. She is a management and HR professional with more than 20 years’ experience in global human resources, employee benefits, management consulting and communications. She works with individuals and teams to improve their communication and collaborative skills.

Claudia holds an undergraduate degree in employee benefits and labor relations from The American University and a master’s degree in business and public administration from The George Washington University. She holds Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) and Certified Professional Values Analyst (CPVA) certifications. Claudia’s prior experience includes serving as senior consultant for Mercer Human Resources Consulting, the nation’s top HR consulting firm, in Washington, DC and Geneva, Switzerland; Vice President for People for Pomco Group; Manager of the Blue Cross Blue Shield Association’s National Labor Office; and Senior Policy Associate for the AFL-CIO. Claudia specializes in strategic planning, employee engagement, organizational development, recruiting and coaching.

Dr. Teresa Arpinearned a Bachelor of Philosophy from Thomas Jefferson College and a Masters in Curriculum and Instruction from Michigan State University. Her doctorate is in Educational Leadership from Eastern Michigan University. She is also certified by Newfield Network, an international program for the development of life coaches.

Dr. Arpin worked for the Grand Rapids Public Schools from 1978 through 2007. She worked in a variety of instructional and administrative capacities. Most recently she served as the Executive Assistant to the Superintendent and the Chief of Accountability and System Wide Planning. She has also worked as a special education teacher and consultant, and a staff developer.

Dr. Arpin has worked in various capacities in the area of research and evaluation, including Program Evaluation Specialist, Supervisor of Research and Executive Director of Information and Planning Services. She served as the internal coordinator for the district’s strategic planning process for eleven years. In her role with Transformation Systems, she has conducted leadership development programs, facilitated strategic planning processes and helped schools measure the impact of their strategic plans. She has worked with boards of education, schools and school districts large and small across the United States and internationally, including: China, Poland, France, Czech Republic, Malaysia, India, Nepal, Pakistan, Puerto Rico, Russia, Japan, Singapore, Turkey and the United Arab Emirates. Her work has also included facilitating strategic planning processes for three international regional education associations, which include NESA, CEESA and EARCOS. Dr. Arpin is certified as an ASA Strategic Planner, a NASSP Assessor and a Xerox Quality Trainer. She is an expert in program evaluation and assessment and is proficient in large scale project planning and management.

Susan Hintzis an associate of Transformation Systems (TSL) and a former superintendent of schools. Susan earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education, a Master of Science degree in Curriculum and Instruction and an Educational Specialist degree in Education Administration from Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana. She also holds special endorsements in Reading, K-12 from Indiana University and Gifted and Talented, K-12 from Purdue University.

Susan has been a teacher at every level: elementary, middle, high school, adult education and at Indiana University. During her tenure as principal of a large, diverse elementary school in Indiana, her school earned the National Blue Ribbon School of Excellence award. Susan has been named Principal of the Year by the Indiana Department of Education, National Distinguished Principal by the U.S. Department of Education, and Administrator of the Year by the Indiana Learning Disabilities.

As an administrator in three districts, Susan has served as coordinator of gifted and talented programs, director of professional development, director of elementary education, assistant superintendent, and she completed her career in public education as Superintendent of ISD 279 – Osseo Area Schools, an urban-suburban school district on the northwest side of Minneapolis, Minnesota. Susan has been associated with TSL in a variety of advisory and associate capacities for the past twelve years. Her expertise is in the areas of school-community development, board development, strategic planning and leadership development.
