Official proceedings of the City Council of the City of Marseilles of the meeting of February 3, 2016.

The City Council of the City of Marseilles met in the City Chamber of City Hall at the hour of 6:00 P.M. on February 3, 2016.

Pledge of Allegiance was said.

Roll call showed the following present: Mayor Trager, Commissioner Hollenbeck, Commissioner Lewey, and Commissioner Buckingham. Absent: Commissioner Davis.

Moved by Commissioner Hollenbeck seconded by Commissioner Lewey that the minutes from the Council meeting of January 20, 2016 be approved as displayed and placed on file. Ayes: Commissioner Hollenbeck, Lewey, Buckingham, and Mayor Trager. Nays: None

Moved by Commissioner Hollenbeck seconded by Commissioner Buckingham that the accounts payable for the last half of January in the amount of $101,532.59 be approved and a warrant be drawn on the City Treasury for the said amount. Ayes: Commissioner Hollenbeck, Lewey, Buckingham and Mayor Trager. Nays: None

Moved by Commissioner Hollenbeck seconded by Commissioner Buckingham that the payroll for the last half of January in the amount of $55,364.32 be approved and a warrant be drawn on the City Treasury for said amount. Ayes: Commissioner Hollenbeck, Lewey, Buckingham and Mayor Trager. Nays: None

Moved by Commissioner Hollenbeck seconded by Commissioner Lewey that the 2nd payment to Liebhart Construction in the amount of $20,399.40 be approved. Ayes: Commissioner Hollenbeck, Lewey, Buckingham and Mayor Trager. Nays: None

Moved Commissioner Hollenbeck seconded by Commissioner Buckingham that the home business license renewal for Sharron Roll DBA The Roll Advantage Tax Services be approved. Ayes: Commissioner Hollenbeck, Lewey, Buckingham and Mayor Trager. Nays: None

Moved by Commissioner Buckingham seconded by Commissioner Lewey that Resolution 2016-3, a Resolution accepting Plan Commission recommendation and authorizing continued disc golf course project be adopted. Ayes: Commissioner Hollenbeck, Lewey, Buckingham and Mayor Trager. Nays: None

Moved by Commissioner Buckingham seconded by Commissioner Hollenbeck that the resignation for John Penkala and Jim Miskell be approved. Ayes: Commissioner Hollenbeck, Lewey, Buckingham and Mayor Trager. Nays: None

Mayor Trager announced the Hyrdo Plant has started construction it will be around a $30 million project. Also, baseball and t-ball signups are 2/6/16 9:00-11:00AM at City Hall. Commissioner Lewey stated the Middle East Tribute Wall got national recognition in the VFW Magazine.

Moved by Mayor Trager seconded by Commissioner Buckingham that the city council adjourn to executive session to consider matters of litigation as authorized under Section 2 (C) 11 of the Open Meetings Act. Ayes: Commissioner Hollenbeck, Lewey, Buckingham and Mayor Trager. Nays: None

Moved by Commissioner Hollenbeck seconded by Commissioner Lewey that the city council reconvene to regular session. Ayes: Commissioner Hollenbeck, Lewey, Buckingham and Mayor Trager. Nays: None

Moved by Commissioner Buckingham seconded by Commissioner Lewey that the City Council adjourns. Ayes: Commissioners Hollenbeck, Lewey, Mayor Trager. Nays: None
