NCFE Maths Level 1 Unit T/505/2745, K/505/2743: Working with Money & MeasurementsWho is this course for?
This course is for anyone who wants to improve their Maths skills, whether it is to boost your job prospects by gaining a qualification, helping your children with their Maths homework or to achieve your personal goal.
What does the course cover?
You will learn how to:
· carry out accurate and approximate calculations with money
· use timetables to calculate journey time
· recognise temperatures above and below zero in degrees Celsius
· measure and compare length, weight and capacity using metric units
· convert between different metric units of length, weight and capacity
· approximate distances using a map
How will I be assessed?
You will be assessed informally throughout the course to check on your progress. At the end of the course, you will complete an NCFE written assessment.
Will I get a qualification?
On successful completion you will achieve a level 1 NCFE qualification in Working with Money & Measurements.
What can I do next? Is there a progression route?
You can progress on to a different aspect of the level 1 curriculum or a relevant level 2 course.
Are there any entry requirements?
You will need to come for an initial assessment before starting a Maths course. This is so we can find the right course for you.
How long does the course last?
This is 2 hours x 6 weeks course.
