Dear Parent(s):

This course is designed to impart and enhance knowledge and understanding of our world’s origin, growth and development. It will also incorporate critical thinking skills and other vital social studies skills such as map, chart, graph and timeline interpretations and cooperative learning. Students will obtain skills and insights that will be useful all of their lives. The third 9 weeks covers the concepts found in World History, the earliest origins of man through the Medieval Ages. It will include the ancient civilizations, the classical civilizations of Asia, Latin America, Africa, and Europe, as well as the Middle Ages throughout the world.

A major goal that we have at Americus-Sumter County High School– North Campus is to maintain consistent communication with you regarding your son or daughter’s progress.
