THEME
(art) The class will review the story THE MITTEN. the students will then discuss why our clothing changes for the winter season. Next, the students will cut out a pair of mittens. Then, the students will paint their hands and make a hand print on each mitten. The mittens will then be tied together.

(sci/art) The class will discuss how a snowflake is made. Then using the computer, the students will see real pictures of snowflakes (Goggle: real pictures of snowflakes and then click “images”). Each child will then make a paper snowflake. Upon completion, the class will discuss the snowflake in the terms of the three states of matter.
