11th Annual Cuming County Sharpshooter 22 Metallic 4-H Silhouette Invitational

at the Arcadian Marksmanship Club LTD, Wisner NE

Entry:

* $5.00 Entry Fee per person per class

* $10.00 Entry Fee per Team (Silhouette)

* Every one brings their own gun and AMMUNITION

* All guns must be empty and action open when checked in with event staff and when off the line

* Each contestant Must be a member of a 4-H shooting sports club

Silhouette Match:

* NRA .22 handgun silhouette targets will be shot

10 rams at 100 meters or 109 yds. 13 in

10 turkeys at 77 meters or 84 yds. 7 ½ in

10 boars at 60 meters or 65 yds. 22 in

10 chickens at 40 meters or 43 yds. 26 ¾ in

* All shots will be taken from the standing off-hand position

Silhouette Match Rules:

* Eye and Ear protection required

* Pre-Registration encouraged

* Registration begins at 8:30 AM

* Match begins at 10:00 AM (No registrations will be taken after match begins)

* All guns must be brought in some type of case, empty, with action open and

checked in prior to competition.

* All ammunition must be separate from the gun

* Only 22 long rifle ammunition will be allowed. Hot loads such as “Stinger” are

not permitted. No 17 HMR, 17 Mach2, or 22 Mag.

* Any sights telescopic or metallic may be used

* Trigger guard must be present. In event of accidental discharge, trigger will be adjusted or gun

replaced.

* The stock must be traditionally styled from conventional configurations such as factory rifle

stocks or silhouette stocks.

* The barrel can not exceed 30” from face of closed bolt to the end of barrel.

* No slings or rests allowed

* 2 ½ minutes per 5 shots with ½ minute pause between the next 2 ½ minutes 5 shot segment per

distance

* One shot per silhouette

* Silhouettes will be shot left to right in order, if shot out of order no score for that silhouette

* Silhouette must fall off stand to be counted

* 1 point awarded for each silhouette shot off stand

* Only one coach and scorer allowed at the firing line with the shooter

* Any discrepancies must be addressed to the match director prior to resetting of silhouettes

* Relays will be ran as in a normal silhouette match (All Relay’s run thru on one silhouette group

of 10 then all relays will repeat the rotation again three more times until all four sets of

silhouettes have been shot at)

* Any shooter acting in an Unsafe Manner or un-sportsmanlike manner will be disqualified

No exceptions

* Ties will be broken by which contestant shot the most Rams, then still if tied the most Turkeys,

ect. Except in the case of the Overall Grand Champion in which case a shoot-off will take place at 77-meter (Turkey) range

Clothing:

* Eye and Ear Protection Required

* Baseball style hat

* Club shirt or Recognized 4-H shirt

* Full-length slacks or blue jeans (NO Shorts)

* Shoes or Boots (NO Sandals or Flip Flops)

* No Shooting Coats allowed (Silhouette Match)

Silhouette Classes:

* Open Sights – 8 - 11 yr. old

* Open Sights – 12 -15 yr. old

* Open Sights – 16 & over

* Telescopic Sights – 8 - 11 yr. old

* Telescopic Sights – 12 - 15 yr. old

* Telescopic Sights – 16 & over

Silhouette Teams:

* All 4 team members must be from the same 4-H Club

* Team scores will be totaled from team member’s individual scores

Silhouette Prizes:

* Medals will be awarded for the first 3 places in each class, and for the first

3 places in the team competition.

* A Medal will also be awarded to the Over All Grand Champion

* Only one individual medal will be awarded per contestant

An OLD TIMERS fun match in Silhouette will also be scheduled for parents, 4-H Coaches, or aged out 4-Hers if enough interest.

From Wisner: Go south 1 and 1/10th of a mile on County Rd 6 (Black Top) then turn east (left

hand turn) onto River Rd and travel 3 and ¼ miles to the range.
