The colonial rule:-

Ø  The historical background of the development of the Sikh history including Punjab under Maharaja Ranjit Singh and the Anglo-Sikh war.

Ø  The introduction of the early British administration 1849-1859

Ø  The historical background of the land revenue system and the role played by the Board of Administration.

Ø  The members of the Board of Administration, John Lawrance, Hennery Lawrance, Charles Mensel.

Ø  The main features of the Board of Administration, the problems, the achievements etc.

The Administrative framework and the civil services:-

Ø  The measures for promotion of agriculture.

Ø  The introduction of the P.W.D.(public works department)

Ø  Reforms in the administration of justice.

Ø  Development of modern education.

Ø  The wood’s Dispatch and establishment of education department in Punjab .

The Revolt of 1857 and the Punjab:-
