AGM FRIDAY 8th FEB 2013 FAT LAMB RAVENSTONEDALE

CIRCUITS SEDBERGH AND KIRKBY STEPHEN; Kirkby circuits have been well supported; numbers are usually between 12 and 16. Sedbergh is also doing well with 20 + on a regular basis.
There is an informal run at 7.00pm from the Dalesman in Sedbergh every friday for anyone interested.
JUNIORS; Monday eve sessions (6.30PM) at Kirkby are doing well numbers are growing with between 6 and 10 each week. It was suggested that a contact number needs to be available in case of poor weather etc. In addition, it was felt that setting better goals for juniors would be very useful so they could then be included in the club Championships Steve crook will look into organising a system so prizes could be awarded appropriately. Many of the races we use have a junior category.
CHAMPIONSHIP RACES; This is the 5th year that the Club Championships have been organised, and the report from Steve Crook confirmed that there was a significant increase in the number of members attending at least one race. Steve proposed races for the coming year; these are a mix of road and fell; these will be available to vie on the website;
Keswick Round the Houses, LongMarten 10km, HawksHead 10km, Askham fell, Beetham 10km, Steele fell, Round lattrigg, and Arnside knott.
Presentations for last year’s winners will be at the winter social 23rd Feb at Soulby village hall. Thanks to Steve for his efforts organising the league table.
HOWLERS; Will stay with the same format, meeting once a month on Friday evenings.

2) Kirkby Stephen 10km Sun 19th May KS G school 1.00pm juniors and 2.00pm seniors.
3) Weasdale Horse shoe Sat 24th Aug 2.00pm Ravenstonedale show ground.
4) Westmorland Trail Race Sat 14th Sept Crosby Garratt.
5) Ravenstonedale 10km Sat 30th Nov Ravenstonedale.
IAN HODGSON fell relay race will be Sunday 6th Oct from Patterdale.
The FRA British fell relay championships are on the 20th Oct in Llanberis.
FINANCES; Angela presented a statement to the meeting; the club has £1600 in the bank. Expenditure has been slightly increased this year with the setting up of the new website amongst other things. Suggestions for this year’s purchases included mats for Sedbro’ circuits, weighted bars for Kirkby, Waterproof Jackets with HH logos, and road signs.
MEMBERSHIP RENEWAL; This is now due; Angela is collecting forms and payments. Forms can be downloaded from the Website. There have been problems with the online payment which John H is looking into.
FRA BRITISH CHAMPIONSHIIP RELAYS 2014; The club has been asked by Dallam runners to co-host the event in 2014. The first meeting to consider venues and set things in motion was last weekend at Bessie Beck. Support will be needed from all club members, in particular there are organisational posts to be filled; Catering logistics, Sponsorship organisation, and treasurer. All offers of help are much appreciated. The next meeting is scheduled for March 24th at 9.30am, check website for venue.
WEB SITE; John Hosker reported that the site is proving to be a great success; with over a 100 hits worldwide each day helping to raise the clubs profile.
ELECTION OF COMMITTEE MEMBERS; thanks to the efforts of committee members through 2012.
PRESIDENT; Fraser agreed to continue in this role to a 3 year term.
CHAIRMAN Philip Cooper will continue.
VICECHAIRMAN Jonn Chapman agreed to continue
TREASURER Angela Shuttlesworth kindly agreed to remain in this post.
SECRETARY Adele Roche will continue.
CHAMPIONSHIP CO-ORDINATOR Steve Crook will remain in this role.
KIRKBY STEPHEN MALE/FEMALE REP Eddie Close will continue,
SEDBERGH MALE/FEMALE REP To be confirmed, volunteers welcome.
SPONSORSHIP; Atkinsons have kindly offered £500 sponsorship, Terry will design a letter head so we can send formal thanks and encourage continued sponsorship with publicity via the website and the upcoming FRA championships 2014.
AOB ; Sedbergh sports is scheduled for July 13th and KS sports for June 28th.
