2016-2017 Catalog
This 4-year plan is designed for Physics majors. The courses inbold are those required for the major. All students must complete program and core requirements, and earn a minimum of 122 credits to receive the degree. You DO NOT need to follow this plan exactly, this is a template. The following key indicates the meaning of the various symbols:

Please Note:
- Freshmen entering with a score of 4 or 5 on the Advanced Placement Physics C—Mechanics exam may receive credit for PHYS 205; likewise, those with a 4 or 5 on the Advanced Placement Physics C—Electricity/Magnetism exam may receive credit for PHYS 206.
- ** PHIL 252 (Philosophy and History of Science) and/or TH 254 (Theology and Science) may be of particular interest.
- Free and CORE electives in the sophomore through senior years may be taken in any order. CORE requirements are that each student shall have
- two Writing Intensive (WI) courses (one of them in the major)
- one Global Diversity (GD) course or experience
- one National Diversity (ND) course or experience.
- This four-year plan assumes that the GD and ND requirements will be fulfilled by elective courses outside the major, as is permitted.
- If a course number has an (+) next to it the class is only offered duringthe semester listed (fall/spring) ofodd numbered years.
- If a course number has an (^) next to it the class is only offered during the semester listed (fall/spring) of even numbered years.
