Quick Guide for Program Rooms

Television

Power and input (source) selection is done with the single button at the back of the TV, bottom left corner.A television remote is not necessary for operating as all configurations are pre-set.

When TV off: Press the power/input button at the back of the left side of the TV to turn on (LED on front bottom left corner of TV should illuminate).

When TV on: Press the power/input button to switch sources. Press and hold power/input button to turn off TV (LED on front bottom left corner of TV should turn off).

Available sources:

HDMI-1: HDMI Jack–use when plugging an HDMI device into the front panel below the television. Spare cable is stored in cabinet

HDMI-2: WirelessDV–use when wireless mirroring is required from an iDevice, Android, or Windows 8.1 tablet device. If connecting using a wireless device, see “Wireless Device Mirroring Instructions” on reverse.

HDMI-4: VGA Jack–use when plugging a VGA source into the front panel below the TV. The audio cable must be connected even if no audio is needed. VGA with Audio cable is stored in cabinet.

COMP: Composite–use when plugging in a source that uses the Yellow, Red, White cables into the front panel below the television.

Volume: Is pre-set so adjust volume from the device rather than the TV.

IT Equipment

All IT equipment is stored on the left side of the cabinet. You shouldn’t need to open that side up at all except to plug in a power source. The power bar is located on the bottom rack of the left side.

Right side of the cabinet is free to place any items needed. Spare cables (HDMI and VGA with Audio) and remote stored here.

Wireless Device Mirroring Instructions

Apple iDevices

  1. Turn on WiFi Connection on the iDevice, and choose the Network Other…
  2. Type in AL_Program (there is an underscore “_” between the L and P) in the Name field and leave the Security field as None, then select Join
  3. After doing these steps, the device will remember AL_Program and steps 1-2 won’t be necessary. Just make sure device connects to AL_Program before you attempt to continue below.
  4. The BPL Splash Page should show up shortly stating that you are connecting to the Wireless Network; accept it.
  5. Swipe up from the bottom of the screen (this will bring up the Control Center).
  6. Tap on Airplay, select BPLPC875, scroll down and tap the Mirroring slider to enable it.
  7. Disable screen mirroring when done by swiping up (from bottom of screen), tap on the slider, scroll up, and then select iDevice (audio icon).

Android Devices (only devices supporting Miracast Function with version 4.2 or up)

  1. Swipe down on the main screen which brings up a control panel-like interface where you can turn phone functions on/off.
  2. Look for something called Screen Mirroring or Cast Screen (it could be labeled slightly differently) and tap on it.
  3. It should display BPLPC875 or manually scan to see it. Tap on it to connect.
  4. Disable screen mirroring when complete by following the steps again but tap on Disconnect.

Windows 8.1 Tablet

  1. When on the desktop, bring up the charm bar by swiping left from the right edge of the screen.
  2. Tap on Devices, then Project, Add a wireless display. It should search and see BPLPC875 as a Monitor. Select it.
  3. This should save the screen connection for future use. When connecting again in the future, tap on Devices, then Project, then BPLPC875.
  4. You should see a progress bar quickly slide under the Projectors section and it should connect and mirror on the screen shortly.
  5. Disable screen mirroring by swiping left from right edge of screen, tap Devices, tap Project, tapDisconnect.
