Scope of Work

The Town of Wainwright is inviting Contractors to express interest in furnishing equipment and laborers related to the support of the flood control project in the Town of Wainwright on an as need basis. Included in the scope of services is excavating ditches to grade, construction of at grade earth pads, removal of earthen berms, moving and piling stock piles of gravel, rock and soil, removal of concrete debris from within berms.

The description of work is for illustration purpose and subject to any changes. Any questions should be directed to Banner Engineering.

Description of Work

This site requires a local contractorthat is able to supply the necessary equipment and skilled labor to support the major contractors of the Town of Wainwright Flood Control Project, within 24 hours of request.

The contractor must have the ability to successfully excavate at grade ditching including excavation and removal of materials to designated stock pile locations.

The project requires the development of multiple at grade earthen pads to be developed to facilitate trenchless crossings.The contractor must have the ability to successfully excavate these pads to specific elevations and grades and also complete the removal of the excavated material to designated stock pile locations.

The project requires the removal of multiple sections of earthen berm and earthen berms containing recycled concrete debris. The contractor must be able to successfully excavate both earthen and recycled concrete reinforced earthen berms. The excavated materials must be transported to the designated stockpile locations.

Any excavation within the scope of work may be located near sensitive pipelines or utilities and as such experience with excavations within close proximity to subsurface pipelines and utilities is required.

Specifications of Work

The work will include supplying and operating the following equipment which will be used to support the construction of the flood control project. The estimated construction timeline for this work item is August 1, 2016 to January 1, 2019; Contractor will honor the quoted unit rate for the duration of the construction timeline (no price change up to January 1, 2019). Each piece of equipment shall be entered on the unit pricing sheet with make/model and all-inclusive hourly rate (including fuel, maintenance, operator, etc), Each equipment type should include a range of sizes (ie. small, medium, large classifications) for each equipment type as follows:

  1. Excavator
  2. Backhoe
  3. Bulldozer
  4. Scraper
  5. Grader
  6. Front End Loader
  7. Skid Steer Loader
  8. Tractor
  9. Dump Truck
  10. Packer/Compactor

Other equipment not listed can be submitted under the Unit Rate tender form.

The work will include supplying the following laborers which will be used to support the construction of the flood control project. The estimated construction timeline for this work item is August 1, 2016 to January 1, 2019; Contractor will honor the quoted unit rate for the duration of the construction timeline (no price change up to January 1, 2019). Each required skilled laborer and laborer shall be entered into the unit pricing sheet with trade/position and all-inclusive hourly rate (including transportation, food, lodging and all other relative disbarments).
