Lincoln South Rotary Foundation

Foundation Mission Statement:

To support existing causes and encourage innovative ideas for the betterment of our community. Through our efforts we strive to increase awareness and provide lasting value to those we serve.

Purpose of the Mini-grant Program

  • To encourage and foster the ideal of service by providing financial support for programs, projects, and individuals through non-profit organizations within our community.
  • Mini-grants allow members of Lincoln South Rotary the ability to foster and develop the ideal of service throughout the community.

The Application Procedure

  • The application must be recommended and/or submitted by a member of the Lincoln South Rotary Club.
  • Requested amount cannot exceed $500.
  • Application deadlines are January 31 and September 30 with awards announced a month later.
  • Applications will be reviewed by the Lincoln South Rotary Foundation Board of Directors.
  • Successful applicants must agree to report the results of the project to the Lincoln South Rotary Foundation Board.

Completing the Application

  1. Project Title: If the project does not have a title, create one that is reasonably descriptive.
  1. Sponsoring non-profit organization: Name of organization involved in the project.
  1. Contact person: Name, address and phone number of contact person at the non-profit organization.
  1. Brief description of the project: A brief description of the project not to exceed 75 words.
  1. How will this project encourage and foster the ideal of service? It is important to address how this project will meet the primary object of Rotary: to encourage and foster the ideal of service.
  1. Who will benefit from this project? Describe who will benefit from this project. Eligibility is limited to individuals, schools, or non-profit organizations located in our community.
  1. Funds Requested: Mini-grants are limited to $500.00. Include whether additional money will come from other sources.
  1. Budget: Specify expenditures contemplated for the project.
