Gary Clifford Chancy of Delphos has been accepted to Kansas Wesleyan University for the fall semester. He is the son of Mr & Mrs Clifford Chancy. He has been assigned to the new air conditioned Wilson Residence Hall to be completed this summer.
Stephen Smerchek, born Dec 29 1888, died Aug 1 1961 in Carbondale. He was united in marriage to Alta C Rice, May 21 1919. Several Rice family members from Delphos attended the services.
We have had several complaints about trash being scattered on the road to the dump.
Mr & Mrs Robert Campbell announce the birth of a granddaughter, Karen Kay Pearl, Aug 6th. Mrs Robert Pearl was Mary Lou Campbell. The baby has a sister Vicki Jo, 4.
Mrs Gladys McCowan, caregiver for Mrs Belle Nelson, has a granddaughter Connie Lee Shirk, born July 25th. Mrs Galen Shirk was Neomi McGowan.
The marriage of Mary Alice Schrandt, Glasco, and Robert Wesley Wink, of West Monroe, LA was solemnized July 8th at St Pauls Catholic Church, Delphos.
Thomas A Shea, passed away Tuesday night at Fort Dodge, KS. Burial will be at St Pauls cemetery.
Mr & Mrs Galen Nelson observed their 25th wedding anniversary Aug 3rd with an outdoor supper.
Former Delphos High School Vocational Ag instructor Chris Ray Bradley, 55 died of a self inflicted gun shot wound Sunday.
Jack Rolph is staying with Gary Chancy while Gary's parents are on vacation.
Mr & Mrs Victor Colton celebrated their 35th wedding anniversary.
