IELTS Clerical Marker

We are looking for part-time IELTS Clerical Marker to work for the British Council on IELTS test sessions in Riyadh.

Job duties:

·  To mark IELTS’s listening and reading papers

·  To handle the examination materials as per the standards set by the Cambridge English Language Assessment and the British Council.

Candidates should have the following competencies & requirements:

·  Accountability

·  Flexibility

·  Accuracy

·  Detail-minded

·  Trustworthy

·  English Language Proficiency: a competent level of English to enable full understanding of the complexities of the IELTS Marking Policy

·  Education: secondary/ high school diploma, A - levels or equivalent as minimum qualification

·  Written and oral communication skills in English

To be a qualified IELTS Clerical Marker, you need to fulfil the following criterion:

·  You must attend and complete a training workshop led by the IELTS Administrator or authorised trainer.

·  You must sign the IELTS Confidentiality Undertaking and sign and abide by the IELTS Code of Practice for Clerical Markers before getting approval to be a clerical marker.

·  You must complete the British Council Online Child Protection Course

·  Qualified markers must make themselves available for additional briefing/training if required. All training sessions will be conducted in English.

Marking time is usually conducted between 08am to 9 pm Sunday to Wednesday depending on the Test Centre office hours or subject to operational needs.
