Wacky Wednesday Mis-match Day (Spirit Week)

MATHCOUNTS: Hi Mathcounts Students! Our meeting this week will be held in the LIBRARY from 3:00-4:15pm. See you there! (10/7-Hsu)

PEER MEDIATION: Peer Mediation is up and running for those who are interested in solving their conflicts with their friends. Peer Mediators are trained students who help their classmates identify the problems behind the conflicts and to find solutions.

Here is the process:

If you are having a conflict with another student, here is what you should do:

  • Obtain a Peer Meditation form from the “wall of forms” in the front office.
  • Fill out the form and include the name of the person you need to have mediation with. Turn it in to counseling center or Mr. Ferman
  • Mr. Ferman or Ms. Cross will notify you when your mediation will be arranged.
  • The mediation should take no longer than ½ hour and will take place during lunch or during a class period. (10/7-Cross)

SPIRIT WEEK is HERE!We will have dress-up days for the rest of the week too, and remember, for every day that you dress-up, you'll earn a point for your Advisory class. Wednesday is Wacky Wednesday Mis-match Day, Thursday is Twin Day and Friday is Plaid Day. The Advisory class with the highest percentage of participation at the end of the week will win a class breakfast! We hope to see your spirit next week, GO CONDORS!

Snow Cones Anyone?Wednesday is Snow Cone days at CanyonMiddle School! Where? In front of the gym. When? Every Wednesday after school? How Much? Only $1!

BATTLE OF THE VALLEY TICKETS: Tickets for the Battle of the Valley game will be on sale during lunch on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.Buy your tickets before the game for just $5 each. (10/5-Torrez)

8thWASHINGTONDC TRIP: Save $$ (money) by registering early for the 8th Grade Washington DC trip. This year’s trip is scheduled for June 19th-26th. Stop by the front office for an information packet! (10/6-Gelles)

ATTENTION 6th GRADE STUDENTS:6th grade Canyon students, there is to be NO FOOD eaten outside of the cafeteria. It has been announced many times yet some students continue to bring food outside. Starting on Monday, detentions will be given to sixth graders who try to bring their food out of the cafeteria. Please finish your lunches inside the cafeteria. (10/7-Administration)
