The event-hosting club, its agents, members, representatives, volunteers, assume no responsibility for any loss, damage or injury sustained by exhibitors,handlers, or to any of their dogs or property and further assumes no responsibilityfor injury to children or spectators.

Late Entries will NOT be accepted.Closing date is 6 PM May 25, 2018. IF the trial has not filled, day of show entries will be accepted until 7:30 AM. Incomplete, unsigned, or conditional entries will not be accepted. Those wishing confirmation must include a legible email address on their entry forms.

A wait list of up to 5 dogs will be maintained in case of trial filling.

Approximate run orderwill be emailed to those who supply an email address on their entry form.

Arrive at least 1 hour prior to time start of trial for inspection and check-in. Dogs not present and checked in at paddock 45 minutes before run time will be scratched after a 5 minute grace period. If you do not check in and your run time comes up we will assume you are absent and you will lose your turn. No monies will be refunded for dogs not checked in ahead of time.

Exceptions to the Run order ONLY for Verified Conflicts.

Volunteers working the entire trial will run FIRST before all other competitors to ensure a smooth running trial.

Coursing is an athletic activity that can tax a dog’s physical strength. Dogs that areoverweight and/or out of condition may be at greater risk for injury and exhaustion.The Inspection Committee has the authority to disallow a dog’s entry into a test, andin such instances, applicable entry fees will be refunded.

Dogs should be warmed up before and cooled down after running. All Dogsrun at owners sole risk. We RECOMMEND dogs entered in bothCAT and FAST CAThave a 30 minutebreak between runs.

All entries must be 12 months of age or older on the day of the test.

ROLL CALL

Roll call begins 1 hour before the beginning of each event. Early acceptance formembers of the field committee may begin one-half hour prior to published test hours.

At roll call, all dogs will be measured by wicket to verify handicaps.

Bitches in season andlame and unfit dogs will be excused with entry refunded.

Please do not bring bitches in season to the test.

All AKC Rules regarding sportsmanship and conduct apply.Persons exhibiting conduct detrimental to the AKC/CKC/any dog(s)/other person(s) will be asked to leave the trial site by the Field Committee, they maybe disciplined by the AKC, and entry fees will not be refunded. No entry fees will be refunded if the event cannot be started or completed by reason of riots, civil disturbances, fire, extreme and/or dangerous weather, conditions, an act of God, public emergency, act of a public enemy, strikes or any other cause beyond the control of the Club or the event-hosting club,

This is a rain-or-shine outdoor event. Please plan accordingly.

An electronic timing system will be used. A drag lure with plastic stripand fabric“squawker”will be used for ALL competitors.

The FAST CAT course will be fully fenced with a catch pen at the end.
The show grounds are not completely fenced

On site porta potties are available.

Dogs must be on lead or crated unless running.

The Huntmaster is responsible for field safety and therefore he/she is in completecharge of all dogs and handlers on the field. In service to this responsibility,he/she has the authority to stop the lure in any potentially dangerous situationand signal the handler to retrieve a testing dog.

Conditions of Entry
Hours

Grounds will be available at 6:30 AM. Roll call begins at 7:00 AM and if an exhibitor briefing is needed begins at 7:45 AM.

BCDC will make every attempt to facilitate that all entrants will be accommodated withregard to running the in the trials, but it is also the responsibility of each entrant tomake an effort to be ready when their dog is called to the line.

Fast CAT events are open to all dogs at least 12 months of age that are individuallyregistered with the AKC, dogs granted a Purebred AlternativeListing (PAL) number or dogsenrolled in the AKC Canine Partners program. Dogs with breed disqualifications andmonorchid/cryptorchid dogs are eligible to participate.

Dogs must have an AKC registration number and be at least one year of age onthe day of the trial. Dogs may only run once per test. One dog per entry form per test.

All entries must be accompanied by money order or check to be valid. A returned check is not avalid entry. There will be a $35 fee for a returned check. Entries received by phone,text, or email will not be accepted. Early entries, incomplete entries, or forms without signaturewill not be accepted.

GENERAL:

All entries must be one year of age or older on the day of the trial.

The field committee reserves the right to alter the course plan as required by weather and/or field conditions on the day of the trial

The field committee reserves the right to bar known aggressive dogs from the event site.

Each entry will be examined at inspection. Bitches in season and lame dogs will be excused. Entry fee for dogs excused during inspection, for bitches in season or lameness will be refunded.

Gasoline and electric powered drag lure machines will be used. Back up equipment will be available.

THERE WILL BE A $5.00 FINE ASSESSED FOR ANY LOOSE DOG NOT TAKING PART IN THE COURSE IN PROGRESS or for anyone caught not picking up after their dog.

NO ONE will be allowed on the field without the express permission of the field chairman, except the appointed field committee.

Anyone exhibiting unsportsmanlike behavior will be excused from the field and may be subject to further disciplinary actions.

Control of dogs strictly enforced, on leash at all times except when running.

From North: GSP (Garden State Pkwy) South to Route 9, South on Rt. 9 towards Freehold. Take exit for Rt. 18 South (left exit). Follow Rt. 18 South to exit for Rt. 537 West (towards Freehold). Before second light on Rt. 537 West, follow sign bearing to the right jug handle in order to make a left on Kozloski Rd. Show site is approximately 0.5 miles on the right.
From Northeast: Rt. 537 West To Kozloski Road. Before Kozloski, follow sign bearing to the right jug handle in order to make a left on Kozloski Rd. Show site is approximately 0.5 miles on the right.
From East: Take Rt. 33 West to Kozloski .Take a left up the ramp in order to get onto Kosloski Blvd heading north. Follow to site on left approximately 0.6 miles to site. If exiting GSP at NJ-33 heading W towards Freehold you can: 1. Bear right onto Business 33 past the intersection with Fairfield Road and then follow direction above or 2. Take Highway 33 and exit northbound onto Halls Mill Rd., which changes name to Kozloski Rd at the Howell/Freehold border and then follow directions above. From West: Take Rt. 33 East (4 lane, NJ Turnpike Exit 8) to Halls Mill Rd Exit (This is past the Rt. 33, Rt. 537 and Rt. 9 exits). Take Halls Mill Rd. North (it turns into Kozloski) to site on left.

VENDORS

Vendors will be located on site near the agility trial.

FOOD & BEVERAGES
A food vendor will be available on the park grounds near the Agility fields. There is water and hose available at the site for cooling dogs down.

ABOUT FAST CAT

“The purpose of the AKC Fast CAT event is to provide all dogs andtheir owners an enjoyable, health activity in which they canparticipate.

1. Fast CAT is a timed straight 100-yard dash for dogs.

2. Dogs are held at the start line and the coursing lure isactivated prompting the dog to follow chasing it to the finishline and into a catch pen. The course is completely fenced anddogs are run individually.

3. Dogs are timed when they complete the 100-yard dash. Thetime is converted to Miles Per Hour (MPH).

4. Based on the dog’s size at the withers a handicap is applied

and points are earned:

  • 18” or greater = Handicap is 1.0
  • 12” up to less than 18” = Handicap is 1.5.
  • Under 12” = Handicap is 2.0.

5. FORMULA: MPH X HANDICAP = POINTS

6. Titles are earned at specific point levels and the highest suffixmay appear after the dog’s name:

BCAT = 150 points, DCAT = 500 points, FCAT = 1,000 points

FCAT# = Each additional 500 points

Pre-Registration is REQUIRED - Must reserve by 5/28/18. If you show up without a reservation it is an extra $10/day.

Therefore,no tests/runswillbeconductedoncedaylightbecomestooscarcetopromotethe wellnessofthedogsandtheskillsofthefieldcommitteeandeventofficials.

Intheunlikelycasethatadogenteredinthe FASTCATcannotcompleteitsrun/test becausedaylighthasbecometooscarcetosafelycontinuetheeventperthefield committee’sdecision,itsentryfeesforthattestwillberefundedpromptly.

BCDCwishestoprovideasmuchopportunityaspossibletoindividualsseeking totesttheirdog’scoursingabilitybut acknowledges that 85 entries is a realistic number of entries per trial.

I (we) agree to abide by the rules and regulations of The American Kennel Club in effect at the time of this trial, and by any additional rules and regulations appearing in the premium list for this trial, and entry form. I (we) agree that the club holding this event has the right to refuse this entry for cause which the club shall deem sufficient.
