The Stock Market Game simulation enabled Gray to help his students connect mathematics to the study of economic concepts.

“Students mastered economic vocabulary and math concepts in relation to their investment portfolios,” Gray explains. “Students used the computer lab to track and research their investments … In addition, students connected their experience in cooperative groups to individual writing portfolio pieces. All of this work helped students reach a greater understanding of the stock market and mathematics in a real world setting. This is a program I would recommend for all teachers wanting to help students reach a greater understanding of these concepts.”
