Agenda item 1 – Minutes of the previous meeting and matters arising

The Minutes of the meeting held on 15 March were approved.

The Chair welcomed MsJudith Meirmans, Department of Public Expenditure and Reform and advised that she will be replacing Tomas Campbell.

Agenda Item 2 – Update on Advisory and Consultative Group meeting

Siobhan Barron provided an update on the work of the Advisory and Consultative Group. Significant progress has been made in relation to the paper being developed under work stream item 4.1. Siobhan advised that unfortunately Mr Stephen Cluskey has had to resign from the Advisory and Consultative Group and the Minister is expected to nominate a replacement shortly.

Agenda Item 3 – Progress reports

  • AideenHartney advised that the Evidence Synthesis paper is complete and a soft copy has been circulated to the Strategy Group. She advised that the survey on thePrevalence of Personalised Budgets in Ireland was complete and a draft report of its findings will be circulated in advance of the next meeting of the Group. It was agreed that this would be an agenda item for the next meeting.
  • AnnMcGrane advised that the Dept of Health hascompleted a Request for Tenderfor Consultancy and Advisory Services and this would be forwarded to the Office of Government Procurement in the coming days.
  • Brona Ni Chobhthaigh advised that her team were finalising a review of evidence on financial sustainability of personalised budgets.

Agenda Item 4 – Preliminary feedback from plenary meeting held on 20 April

Kieran Cashman provided on overview of the findings from the plenary meeting round table discussion on vision and values. A paper will be drafted based on the discussions and circulated to the plenary group for further consideration.

Agenda Item 5 – Discussion on spending parameters

Roisin Collier and Adam Monaghan, Policy and Strategy Unit, Department of Health, facilitated a work shop discussion on spending parameters. A discussion paper will be drafted for further consideration.
