Stakeholder Engagement Panel (Measurement and Verification)

The Department is calling for applications by stakeholders who are interested in the Measurement and Verification panel. Applications are due by 5 May2017.

The aim of the panel is to help successfully integrate the method into VEET and support industry participation once implemented into the scheme. Panel members will be required to provide feedback and advice to the Department on the following:

  • Technical and regulatory development of the M&V method;
  • How to support industry participation, which may include industry support programs (training and funded case studies);
  • Future technical developments and possible amendments to the regulated M&V method once introduced; and
  • Current and future market trends and barriers to participation in the scheme.

The Panel is an advice body only. Members will not make final decisions on any subject matter discussed as part of the Panel's work.

1. Who should apply?

The Department is seeking a diverse set of panel members who have experience and knowledge in relation to the following backgrounds (as outlined in 4.2.1 of the Terms OfReference):

  • Energy efficiency and measurement and verification service providers;
  • Peak bodies;
  • Industry associations;
  • Facility or asset owners or energy managers;
  • Government; and
  • Community organisations.

It is expected thatthe panel will comprise of up to 8 individuals. All applicants with strong experience to the above backgrounds and an interest in contributing to the VEET M&V method are encouraged to apply.

2. What do applicants need to complete?

To apply, you must submit an application to the Department by5 May 2017. Applications can be made via email to the .

To be considered, the application must include the following:

  • A selection of one of the above backgrounds as per your most relevant experience (only one can be selected);
  • A response detailing your experience and knowledge to the selected background (limit to 300 words);
  • A CV (including phone number, email and address); and
  • A statement declaring that you have read the Terms of Reference and agree to all of its terms.

Applications missing any of the above information may be automatically excluded by the Department.

3. How are applicants assessed?

With the aim of achieving a diverse set of panel members, each applicant with regard to the other applications received. This is to ensure that the Panel represents a range of stakeholders.

An applicant's experience and suitability will be assessed by the following:

  • The response detailing the experience and knowledge to one of the selected backgrounds;
  • The CV attached to the application form; and
  • Any other information deemed necessary by the Department.

4. How are applicants notified?

All stakeholders who make an application will be notified of the final outcome. However, the Department will not be able to provide individual feedback for unsuccessful applicants.
