I’m in Mythology, and This is My Video Review Project

For your final review day, you, along with your group members, will put together a video interpretation of a myth of your choice. This myth must have been read by the class. The video should be no longer than 8 minutes in length and include dialogue, props, and costuming. You are going to have to make artistic decisions. What details are important? What portions of the story are not as essential? How is the audience going to interpret this story as it is presented by your group? You do not necessarily need to set the story in the time period of the culture. You may want to take some risks in your production; however, if your decisions lead to something wildly inappropriate, you may want to reconsider.

Procedure:

  1. Each group will choose a region of the world to work with. Each group MUST have a different region.
  2. Decide upon a story from the chosen section that your group feels is the most important.
  3. Create a script for your film.
  4. Create the movie.
  5. Either email the film or bring it in on another storage device by the time the bell rings for class on the due date.
  6. Present your movie to the class.
