BOARD MINUTES
REGULAR MONTHLY MEETING
August 26, 2015
Wayne Rexford called the meeting to order at 6:00 PM. Board Members present: Wayne Rexford, Pat Petrie & Roger Bennie. Staff present was Abra Dodson & Kristen Seitz. Member of the public present was Lee McEuen.
MINUTES OF THE PREVIOUS MEETING:
The minutes were approved for the July meeting as emailed.
TREASURER/STATE POOL REPORT:
Bennie presented the Treasurer/State Pool Report for the month of July. The bills totaled $63,345.68. Bennie moved to pay the bills. Petrie seconded the motion. The vote was unanimous.
REPORTS:
DIRECTOR’S REPORT
- The Board looked at the Director’s Report for the months of July/August. See attached report for more information.
o Rexford asked if the front window that was cracked has been replaced? Dodson said that it has not been replaced yet but it is in the works.
o Rexford asked Dodson how long the grass lease was for? Dodson said that she thought it went through September.
o Rexford asked Dodson how the lease with the Railroad was going? Dodson said that she sent all the stuff to them but they have not responded to her yet. Bennie stated that he would like for Dodson to check back in with them one more time and then just wait for them to respond if they are still interested.
RECREATION COORDINATOR’S REPORT
- The Board looked at the Recreation Coordinator’s Report for the months of July/August. See attached report for more information.
POOL REPORT
- At this time, there was no Pool Report
OLD BUSINESS:
BUDGET 2015-2016
- Dodson stated that she fine tuned the budget. She stated that the bottom line didn’t change. Bennie made a motion to accept the Budget with the fine tuning. Petrie seconded the motion. The vote was unanimous.
NEW BUSINESS:
SATURDAY HOURS
- Dodson stated that she would like to change the hours on Saturday. Either 12pm-4pm or maybe 10am-2pm since people can register online now and we do not get very many people coming in between 4pm-6pm. Dodson also stated that if we change the time to 10am – 2pm then we could potentially rent the Recreation Center out for the other hours. After discussion from the Board it was decided that after October 1st the new Saturday hours would be 10am – 2pm.
ITEMS FROM THE BOARD:
- Petrie wanted to let everyone know that she got her Declaration of Candidacy in for being a Board member again.
- Rexford wanted everyone to know that he thought that this year’s Triathlon was the smoothest running Triathlon that he has seen.
PUBLIC INPUT:
At this time, there is no public input.
Adjournment
Bennie moved to adjourn the meeting. Petrie seconded the motion. The vote was unanimous. The meeting adjourned at 6:23pm.
