Entering Query Search Criteria in ApplicationXtender 8 Web

Steps:

1.  Once you have selected the application, the criteria window appears.

2.  To execute a query, you must first enter the required index field. (In the example, that is Student ID field.)

3.  If you desire to select on specific document types, you can click on the field area for Document Type and choose a value from the list:

4.  You can also choose to search on more than one value at a time by selecting multiple values into the field area:

5.  Next to each of the criteria fields are various icons.

  1. Provides you with a Range Search.
  2. Provides you with a Calendar Date Search .
  3. Provides you with a List Search.

6.  On Date fields such as Date of Birth, you have multiple options:

a.  You can use the Calendar icon to the right of the value field to do a Date Search.

Then you will need to change the year to the appropriate value:

b.  You can choose the middle icon to enter a Range Search. There you will have the choice between several Type of Comparisons where you will enter values to compare to:

c.  You can also do a List Search by clicking on the third icon to the right of the value field:

The List Search window will appear where you will enter a field value:

You click the OK button and the value appears in the criteria value box as a list item.

You can search for multiple values by entering additional ones:

You can replace a value that you had previously added to the list; you can also delete a specific value from the list as well as delete ALL the values in the list.
