Termsand Conditions ofAwardundertheMalaysianTechnicalCooperationProgramme(MTCP)

GeneralConditionsofAward:

a)ParticipantsshallconductthemselvesatalltimesinamannercompatiblewiththeirresponsibilitiesasMTCPscholarshipholdersandabidebythelaws,ruleGeneralConditionsofAward.Thisscholarshipcannotbeheldconcurrentlywithanyotherscholarshipaward.

b)For lectures, participants should be appropriately

dressedinofficeattireandprovocativeclothingisNOTallowedsuchas sleevelessdress orshirt.

c)Participants are not allowed to participate in any

politicaland/or commercial activitiesinany capacitywhatsoever.ParticipantsshallnottakeuppaidemploymentduringthetenureoftheirscholarshiporserveonthestaffoftheirOfficialRepresentativesinMalaysia.

d)ParticipantsareNOTallowedtobringalongtheirspousesorfamiliesforthedurationofthecourse.Participantswillberequiredtoreturntotheirowncountriesuponcompletionofthecourseorattheendofthetenureofthescholarship,whicheverisearlier.

e)The award may be terminated at any time due to

unsatisfactoryconduct,breachoftheconditionsoftheaward,failuretomakesatisfactoryprogressorasdeemednecessarybytheMalaysiantraininginstitution.

f)Participantswhoarefoundtobemedicallyunfitduringthecourseoftheprogrammewillberequiredtoreturntotheircountry.Participantsarealsorequiredtoabidetothefollowing:

i.Toobservethecourseschedule;

ii.TocarryoutsuchinstructionsandabidebysuchconditionsasstipulatedbyMalaysiantraininginstitutionorgovernmentagencywithrespecttothetraining.

MalaysianTechnicalCooperationProgramme(MTCP)

InlinewiththespiritofSouth-Southcooperation,MalaysiahasimplementedtheMalaysianTechnicalCooperationProgramme(MTCP)since1980.ThisprogrammestandsasproofofthecommitmentoftheGovernmentofMalaysiatowardsthepromotionoftechnicalcooperationamongdevelopingcountries,offeringsupportinareaswhereMalaysiahastheexperienceandexpertise.TheMTCPformspartofthestrategyandcommitmentoftheMalaysianGovernmenttothepromotionoftechnicalcooperationamongdevelopingcountries,strengtheningofregionalandsub-regionalco-operation,andnurturingofacollectiveself-relianceamongdevelopingcountries.Theprogrammewasformulatedbasedonthebeliefthatthedevelopmentofacountrydependsonthequalityofitshumanresourcesthroughtrainingandprovidesaplatformforthesharingofinformationanddevelopmentexperience.

  • Applicationmustbe made using thestandardapplicationformobtainablefromtheofficialrepresentatives(Embassies,HighCommissionsetc.)oftheMalaysianGovernmentin the applicant’srespective country

MinistryofForeignAffairsortherelevantagencyresponsiblefortheMTCPProgrammeinapplicant’scountry,thensubmittedthroughtheapplicant’sgovernmenttotheMinistryofForeign AffairsMalaysia

  • Kindlysendascannedcopyofthecompletedapplicationformbye-mailtoor
  • INCOMPLETEAND/ORUNENDORSEDFORMSWILLNOTBE PROCESSED
  • Submittedapplication formmustbe accompaniedbythe

applicant’smedicalreport and acopy of his/herpassport

  • ApplicantswillbenotifiedoftheiracceptancetothecourseeitherthroughtheMalaysianEmbassiesorStandardsMalaysia
DescriptionandObjectivesofTrainingProgramme

ThisprogrammeisdesignedtoassistagenciesrelatedtoHalalEcosystems inASEAN countries.BasedonMalaysia’sexperienceindevelopingaframeworkforqualityassuranceofHalalproducts,thisprogrammewillallowthesharingofexperiencesandconcernsbetweenparticipatingcountries.

Upon completion of thisprogramme,participantswillbe abletoapplytheknowledgegainedtodevelop/improvetheHalal Ecosystemswithintheir ownnationalstandards andconformityassessmentbodies.ParticipantswillalsobeabletoenhancetheirengagementonHalalEcosystems withtheviewtosupportingrespectivenationalsocio-economicagendas.TheCourseCoordinatoristheDepartmentofStandardsMalaysia(StandardsMalaysia)andissupportedbyrelevantgovernmentagenciesandprivatesectors.
