With Cheilanthes feei, Pellaea atropurpurea, Artemisia, Erigeron, Eriogonum, Verbascum thapsus, Bouteloua gracilis,&c. Only four plants seen, none yet flowering.

West slope above small stream, in shade of juniper, gravelly soil among basaltic boulders. With Glandularia bipinnatifida var. brevispicata, Bouteloua gracilis, Poa fendleriana, Artemisia tridentata, Rhus trilobata, Fendlera rupicola, Forestiera, Pinus edulis,&c. Sparse. Pollen large, ovoid, irregularly colpate. Some plants in the area with abortive siliques.
