Let’s “Sing” like ANIMALS at Issaquah Valley Elementary School’s Variety Show!

Calling all elephants, porcupines, pigs, and gorillas, it’s time for Issaquah Valley Elementary School’s annual Variety Show on Friday, May 12th. This year’s theme is the movie “Sing,”however,we’re looking for not only singers, butalso comedians, dancers, actors, musicians, and artists of all types to show their talent. Acts must be no longer than 1 minute (60 seconds) and should contain language and content that is elementary school age appropriate.

5th Graders are invited join the show as Emcees and Flashmob dancers. We are looking for 5th Graders to help interview acts, write the script of the show, Emcee the performance, and perform in the closing Flashmob number of the performance. This 5th Grade Team will be required to attend each rehearsal while also being invited to perform in their own individual act if they like. Kindergarteners are invited to sing in the Variety Show opening number! Although Kindergarteners will not be doing individual Variety Show performances, Kindergarteners are invited to sing in the opening number of the Variety show. Students who would like to sing in the Kindergarteners’ opening song should RSVP to by April 26thth. Kindergarteners will be asked to attend the final dress rehearsal on Wednesday, May 10th from 12:45-3:00 PM (prompt parent pick-up please).

If your child is interested in participating in the Variety Show, or you would like to volunteer and help, please fill out the Variety Show Parent Permission form which can be found on-line at IVEPTA.org or at the IVE office. Permission forms, written lyrics to songs, and emailed music are due Friday, April 7, 2017.
