Hyde Hall hosted its first wedding in 1834, and since then many couples have found its spectacular views and magnificent historical ambience to be the perfect setting for their special day. In 2007, we celebrated the 100th Anniversary of Anne Hyde Clarke to Arthur Choate, in 1907 – the most lavish wedding ever held by the Clarke Family, a grand family from England who built and owned Hyde Hall for 150 years. It was this same Mrs. Choate, a major figure in the fascinating history of Girl Scouting in America, who became the first driving force behind Hyde Hall’s restoration. Many fantastic parties have been held here throughout the years, and we know that you will be thrilled at the ambience and possibilities for your own special event.

Site Use Pricing

Ceremony Only

2 hours – $800 (plus refundable Security Deposit)

Reception with (or without) Ceremony

5 hours – $2200 (plus refundable Security Deposit)

Included in site use pricing:

·  Two planning meetings with Hyde Hall Event planner

·  Unlimited Emailing and phone calls with Hyde Hall Event planner

·  Visitor Center use for the Bridal Party (for changing and relaxing one hour before the wedding)

·  Two or Three Staff members on site during event

·  Free Parking

·  Electric hook-up

·  Special Use Permit Filing by Hyde Hall staff

Additional fees:

·  Photography Package: $110 Includes one hour of photography inside Hyde Hall for wedding party, bouquet toss from the Hyde Hall balcony ($50 per additional hour)

·  An additional fee of $250.00 per hour will be charged if the event runs longer than permitted or begins before 4pm.

·  All Contracted Vendors Clean-Up Terms while on HH premises day of event.

Ceremony Rehearsal:
If a rehearsal is desired on the day prior to the event, arrangements must be made through the Event Planner. A $50 charge for one hour will be charged for a rehearsal. (If the rehearsal runs longer, it will be treated as a separate event and additional charges will accrue.)

Security Deposit:

A refundable security deposit of 1/3 of the total package cost is required in addition to the above amount. This deposit will be returned 7-10 days pending a post-event site damage inspection and late fee assessment.

Our Hyde Hall Event Planner is available to assist you in any way to make your memorable day run as smoothly as possible. We can offer suggestions and assistance with event details; from caterers to flowers to music and more. We are a small historic organization and are able to give personal attention to each unique wedding.

Please keep in mind that your rental agreement is for an historic building and museum site.

We ask that you work with us in order to adhere to the mission of Hyde Hall and the rules and regulations of the New York State Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation.

To reserve your wedding date (if confirmed with Hyde Hall schedule), the Security Deposit and a signed Hold Harmless Agreement will need to be remitted.
