Prasad Host
Bhog and Prasad is a very important offering to Bhagvanji and Deviji and constitutes Anna Dan. It needs to be Satvik (Vegetarian - without garlic, onions and mirchi) as follows:
Dal (Lentils or Chole), Chaval (Rice) or Roti or Puri, Tarkari (Vegetable), Misthan (Kheer or Halva or any other sweets). Mandir has a rice cooker and will provide rice.
Mandir requests your participation as a Prasad Host.It is a good way to celebrate your special occasions, honor your elders or to remember your loved ones. Please invite your friends and family. Hosts need to bring the food in Aluminum trays or utensils and serving spoons. Mandir does not have any serving utensils. Please clean the area leaving the Mandir and put everything back where you found them. Please use spoons and tongs to serve food. If you need help with selecting a Caterer that gives discount for the Mandir Prasad or want Mandir to order Prasad for you, please let Pujari ji know.Food or drinks are not allowed in the Mandir but only in BCC Hall.
To become a Maha Prasad Host, please check the Prasad Host list below for open dates, fill the Host Information Form and give to Mandir Pujariji or e-mail it .To reserve a date for private Puja event in the Mandir, please give completed form to the Pujariji with the reservation deposit check. This donation also helps the Mandir to pay Pujariji's salary. For Mandir sponsored events only e.g. Ravivar Maha Prasad and Mataji Ki Chowki, Mandir will provide three or five compartment lunch trays, tea spoons, napkins and foam glasses. Host needs to provide all other items. Host also provides their own paper goods for private Pujas and events.Maha Prasad Yajman will also be the Yajman for that day's scheduled Puja performed by Mandir Pujari. Use of outside Pujari will classify the event as Private Puja. Please bring few clean bed sheets or rug for sitting during Puja that the Yajman will take back. Dhanyavad and Ashirvad.
Mandir is a 501 (c) 3 Non Profit Religious Corporation (Sanatan Dharma) approved by the Internal Revenue Service and the State of California and needs your support to complete construction and meet Pujari salaries and monthly expenses.
