Title:SECURITY OFFICER
Place of work:Various Locations
Scope of work:To work within a team of Security Officer for the purpose of maintaining a safe and secure environment within their place of work and 1SC Assignments.
Key aim:The overall objective of the Security Officer is to provide support for the duty Supervisor in all aspects of security and the support operation, deputise for them if appropriate in their absence enabling 1SC to provide a TQM service, a committed team of employees and expand our client portfolio
Hours of work:Average of up to 60 hours per week in accordance with contract of employment, client requirements, company requirements and shift rosters.

Duties and
Responsibilities:
Responsible for ensuring that rules, regulations, procedures and requirements in all aspects of security/CCTV monitoring and car parking within the assignments are carried out in the specifications laid down by 1SC Guarding Ltd and the client.
To act as an ambassador for 1SC Guarding Ltd and our clients at all times. Ensuring personal hygiene and dress is of the highest standard at all times
Respond to all incidents requiring security intervention whilst on the assignment and on duty.
To maintain confidentiality in all instances at all times, even when not on duty.
To ensure all duties as laid down in the on site assignment instructions are followed each shift
Train and motivate new security staff on their assignments
Ensure that all reported incidents including all incidents involving security personnel are properly recorded in the occurrence log and/or incident form.
Provide support to persons who have been victims of crime on assignments, or as directed by the supervisors or managers of 1SC Guarding Ltd.
Undertake regular inspections on all departmental equipment, reporting on the condition of said equipment and/ or damage.
Complete daily occurrence sheets, showing times and places of patrols, Problems found and general state of areas being patrolled. Complete training sheets for individual staff daily.
When on duty notify managers/supervisors/duty controller of any Health and Safety issues on an assignment
Complete reports on all lost property and accept found property for safekeeping. Maintain the lost and found property register and take active step to trace owners and restore said property.
Protect clients, members of the public and fellow officers by carrying out your duties, carefully and completely during each shift.
Check, secure and report all external and internal doors, windows and fire exits on premises.
Respond to intruder alarms; inspect for signs of break-in search for suspects and liase with emergency services.
Attend all lift failures to reassure passengers that assistance is on the way.
During major incidents, restrict access to the site; regulate movement of traffic and pedestrians and liase with the emergency services.
Use Deister equipment where required on assignments
Use CCTV equipment in a responsible manner and as per the site instructions and code of practice
Ensure all Security Staff wear the required standard uniform for their assignment at all times without exception or authorisation in writing from the relevant Manager.
Attend training sessions as required by the Company on both working days and rostered days off.
Perform all duties in such a manner as to comply with the Company and Client Health and Safety Policy.
OTHER FEATURES OF THE JOB:
It may be necessary to work alternative hours, shift patterns or unsociable hours, including weekends and sometimes more than you're contracted hours. As part of your job you will be expected to attend regular training sessions, meetings and travel to other locations will be involved. The general pattern of your work could vary according to local requirements.
INITIATIVE:
Where a situation arises and no specific instructions have been issued which apply to it, the Security Officer will be expected to use intelligence, imagination and discretion to ensure that it is dealt with satisfactorily. The security officer is to be the first point of contact and therefor must be seen at all times to be alert, well turned out and in view at all times.
