The post top mounted spigotbase of the luminaire, made ofhigh quality painted die-castaluminium, shall support threedie-cast aluminium double-curvedarms (EN 1706 AC-44300).A screen-printed temperedflat-glass protector, to which the optical compartment is mountedand sealed, shall be secured to thesesupport arms.

The deep-drawn aluminiumcover shall seal the control gear andoptical compartments and shall besecured by a single captivescrew.The luminaire shall be designed tooperate high-pressure sodium ormetal halide lamps up to 150W, and LEDs up to 69W.

The luminaire shall bear the SANS60598-2-3 safety mark.

The luminaire shall have a degree ofprotection that complies withSANS 60598-2-3:

Lamp compartment: IP66

Gear compartment: IP44

The luminaire’s spigot base andsupport arms shall be manufactured from high quality robust die-castaluminium, powder coated inRAL7001.The cover, which seals the control gear and optical compartments,shall be manufactured from deep-drawnpowder coated aluminium. The spigot base shall be firmly securedthrough three sets of 2xM6 grubscrews. A silicon sponge gasket shall be fittedinto the cover, which seals theoptical and control gearcompartments.Bottom entry – ø76mm x 85mm.

The optical compartment shall consistof a stamped, polished and anodised aluminium reflector, towhich a screen-printed highimpact-resistant glass protector shall be sealed. The optical compartment shall be equipped with a one-pieceSealsafe®or LEDSafereflector, which shall ensure the long term IP rating of the lampcompartment.

The control gear shall be mounted upona removable hot-dippedgalvanized steel gear tray. The control gear shall be suitable foroperation with the specified lampson a 230V +3%/-10% at50Hz, single phase supply.The control gear shall bear the relevantSABS mark.

Mains connections shall be by meansof a suitable screw terminal blockwith a wire clamping contact. The luminaire shall be power factorcorrected to a minimum of 0,9.

ISLA LED

The ISLA LED shall be designed for ambient temperatures of up to 35˚C, resulting in a lifetime of up to 60 000 operating hours. Effective high-power LED,4000K at a colour rendering index ≥70.

Each LED shall be equipped with a lens to provide the desired light distribution.

Electronic temperature monitoring shall prevent overheating of LEDs and power supply, positioned directly next to LEDs.

The power factor shall be rated at 0,95. The efficiency shall be rated >89%.
