A $75.00 Cash prize will be given for the best original raft using recycled materials.

A 25.00 Cash prize will be given for the best decorated canoe or kayak

One prize given in each category for each Division:

All participants on the raft will read and abide by the provided rules and regulations. State law requires that every participant wear a personal flotation device while on board a floating vessel. All participants must sign the waiver form on the back of this entry. Parents or guardians must sign on behalf of participants under the age of 18.

Release and Waiver of Liability and Claims

I agree to the following terms in consideration of my participation in this activity. I am in adequate physical and mental condition and I possess skills, equipment, clothing, water and foodwhich are appropriate for this activity. I am aware that this activity involves hazards, both known and unknown, that can result in personal injury, including death and property damage. I am aware that State law requires me to wear a personal flotation device while on the water. I release, to the fullest extent permitted by law, for myself and my heirs, successors and assigns, the United States Section of the International Boundary and Water Commission, Bureau of Reclamation, the City of Las Cruces, the Mesilla Valley Bosque State Park, Kiwanis Club of las Cruces, Mesilla Valley Kiwanis and Sun Country de Las Cruces Kiwanis and the directors, officers and employees of the above organizations, from any and all liability for personal injury, including death, and property damage, including but not limited to losses caused by the negligence of the released parties, that may arise out of this activity.

I hereby expressly agree that I will not sue or make claim against released parties for damages or other losses sustained as a result of my presence on or participation in any activity on such property, including but not limited to, the performance of the Agreement.

I have read and voluntarily sigh the Release and Waiver of Liability and Claims, and understand that I have given up substantial rights by signing it, and have signed it freely and voluntarily without any inducement, assurance or guarantee being made to myself and I intend that my signature is a complete and unconditional release of all liability to the greatest extent allowed by law.
