Dear Families and Friends:

We need your help in completing a brief Caregivers survey!

As you may know, the Genesee County Office for the Aging (OFA) has identified a strong need to helpseniors continue to live as independently as possible. And for some of our seniors, receiving help with budgeting, bill payment, and managing expenses can make a significant difference.

Lifespan, a nonprofit, United Way agency in Rochester, has provided services to older adults and caregivers for 40 years and has partnered with OFA in providing Elder Abuse and Ombudsman services in Genesee County. Lifespan was recently awarded a grant from the Muriel H. Marshall Fund for the Aging in Genesee County to further define the need and feasibility of establishing a money management program.

More than twenty –five interviews with senior housing managers, county and nonprofit service providers and banks have taken place to get their input. And, since families and friends are the primary caregivers to many seniors, we want to hear directly from you.

Please use this link to connect to an anonymous, 10 minute survey that will help us understand your family member’s or friend’s money management needs. We would appreciate it, if you would complete the survey as soon as possible

Thank you for your support and all that you do for seniors. If you have any questions, feel free to contact Ruth Spink, Services Administrator at Office for the Aging at 585-343-1611 or

Sincerely,

Pamela Whitmore, Director
