Student 1: Ma-ggie(.), Ma-ggie looked out the window. It had been raining all day. Now, water was all (.) around her house. ‘I can’t (.) stay in my house’, she said. [Overlapping speech. Teacher: Why did Maggie get on the log?

Student: Because she wants, because she wanted to get across the river.

Teacher 1: What do you think might have happened to Maggie if the cow hadn’t rescued her?

Student 1: She would drowned.

Student 1: The cow and the Maggie.

Teacher 1: And what can you tell me about them?

Student 1: One is a girl, one (.) I don’t know what it is.
