1. The Thomasville Junior Service League Scholarship has been set up to recognize high school seniors who lives in Thomas County and exhibits the characteristics promoted by the mission of Junior Service League (JSL). The mission is to promote volunteerism and improve our community and the lives of children in our area.

2. The Thomasville Junior Service League Scholarship is a $1,000 book scholarship that will be awarded each semester for two semesters. The check will be given to you directly upon receiving the scholarship/award. Thomasville Junior Service League may request receipts for any and all books and/or school supplies purchased with the $1,000 scholarship so please SAVE ALL RECIEPTS.

3. Answer all questions. Do not answer with a check mark. If the answer is “none,” please write “none”.

4. Make sure the following is submitted with your application. Please do not send them separately.

§  Two copies of the completed application

§  Two copies of your current high school transcript

§  Three letters of reference related to academic, volunteerism, and/or community involvement (may be sealed in a separate envelope)

5. If additional pages to answer any questions for which sufficient space has not been provided please attach them as well in typed 12 point font.
