Alien Orphanage

Beep, Bop, Chirp, Beep! A distress signal coming from the distant planet of Tomlinson appears on your spaceship’s computer screen. The message states “This is Captain Diego and I am on a humanitarian mission. I am studying the population of a local species called Zerb and I have inadvertently mixed up all of their offspring! The Zerb families are very upset with me and they want to end my time on this planet. I need assistance!” Your only course of action is to help Captain Diego.

When you land on the planet, Captain Diego is excited to see you have come to help. He explains to you that the Zerbs are not very bright and do not know which of the Zerbites are their children. The Zerbs placed all of the children in an orphanage until they could determine to whom each child belongs. Captain Diego hands you his notebook containing all of the information he gathered from the parents.

The following is the information I gathered from the parents missing Zerbites. These Zerbites can be found in the local orphanage and should be returned to the parents when you find out which Zerbite matches the Zerb parents.

You may find it interesting to know that:

The trait for three legs is dominant.

The trait for two legs is recessive.

The trait for two antennas is dominant.

The trait for three antennas is recessive.

The trait for anger is dominant.

The trait for a non-angry Zerb is recessive.

The trait for the ability to say words with R is dominant.

The trait for the inability to say words with R is recessive.

The trait for warts is dominant.

The trait for no warts is recessive.

The trait for blue color is co-dominant.

The trait for yellow color is co-dominant.

It is also interesting to note that a law was recently passed that allows the people of Tomlinson to mix traits. This is the first generation of offspring that could ever be heterozygous. All parents are homozygous for all traits.

Zerb parents 1:

Francis and Waddle Zerbson

Francis has three legs and three long antennas. He is known to have anger problems and cannot say any words with the letter R in it. He has a large wart on his left knee. He has a wonderful blue tint to his body.
