How to appeal when your HCV assessment report is ‘unsatisfactory’
Licensed assessors who disagree with the result of their HCV assessment report review can submit an appeal. This document outlines the scope and the process that licensed assessors must follow when submitting an appeal.
Scope
This procedure applies to licensed assessors whose assessment report evaluation result is ‘unsatisfactory’.
Process
1.Fill out the form at the end of this document (preferably in English) and submit it via email to . The form must be submitted within 15 working days of having received the HCV assessment report evaluation result. Appeals must be focused on sections considered key issues, since unsatisfactory key issues cause a report to be marked as ‘unsatisfactory’.
2.As soon as your form is received, the Quality Manager will change the status of your report on the ALS website to “appeal submitted” (A). Information on the appeal may be provided to the Organisation that commissioned the assessment upon request.
3.The Quality Manager will have30 working days to process and respond to the appeal. During this period, the Quality Manager may engage the Quality Panel members involved in the review and may involve other Quality Panel members for input. The Quality Manager or ALS staff may contact the licensed assessor to discuss the appeal in more detail, however, these discussions are considered informative.
Results
If an appeal covers all key issues marked as unsatisfactory, and is substantiated, the overall report marking will be changed and the report will be listed on the ALS website as ‘satisfactory’.
If an appeal does not cover all key issues marked as unsatisfactory, or it is fully or partially unsubstantiated,
a) the report will be listed as ‘unsatisfactory’ (for final submissions), or
b) the report will need to be resubmitted, including all standing requirements (for reports with resubmission options).
There are no options for re-appeals
