To all Coaches and Athletic Directors,
Please find below details of this year’s tournaments.
1. Deadline for registration:
All registrations to be sent in by Monday, 25th October.
2. Team Sheets (included below):
All teams are limited to a maximum of 10 players in both the Category C Tournament (players born 1/9/96 – 31/8/99) and the Category A Tournament (players born 1/9/91 – 31/8/96). The completed team sheets must be handed in to the tournament director at the coaches meeting. In accordance with SGIS policy, all coaches should be able to provide evidence of each player’s date of birth if required.
3. Arrival and Departure:
Category A Girls Tournament Saturday 6th November
A coaches meeting will be held at 09.30 and the first game is scheduled to start at 10:00. As the playing schedule could be tight please make sure that your team is ready to start their game promptly. It is hoped that the tournament will end at 16.00 after the awards ceremony.
Category C Girls Tournament Sunday 7th November
A coaches meeting will be held at 9.30am and the first game is scheduled to start at 10.00am.As the playing schedule could be tight please make sure that your team is ready to start their game promptly It is hoped that the tournament will end at 15.00pm after the awards ceremony.
4. Facilities:
The games will be played in our indoor triple gymnasium. All players are asked to wearclean non marking indoor shoes. Teams not playing and spectators can watch the games from the balcony on level -1. Allocated changing rooms and showers are available but please note that the changing rooms are not able to be locked at any point during the day. Therefore they are not suitable for leaving valuables in. No food or drink is to be consumed in the spectator’s area or the gym. We ask that players and spectators respect the facilities.
5. Balls:
Futsall balls will be used for both tournaments. These are slightly smaller than normal sized balls and are designed not to bounce too much which means a more controlled game can be played.
6. Referees:
Experienced referees will officiate throughout the tournaments.
7. Fair Play:
As noted in the SGIS Guidelines, coaches are expected to set a good example of fair play and sportsmanship. It is expected that these guidelines will be followed by all coaches attending this event.
8. Awards:
The first placed team will receive a permanent trophy and winner’s medals, the second and third placed teams will receive medals.
9. Medical Care:
A nurse will be on site for the duration of each tournament.
10. Food and Drink:
Students will need to bring their own lunch.There is a Coop supermarket 2 tram stops away where food can be bought but only on Saturday of course! Drinking fountains are available to use.
11. Tournament Costs:
An estimationof the costs of the tournament at this time is CHF100-150per team dependant on the number of teams participating.

13. Places to stay if needed:
